Send LEE and e-mail. They usually respond in 60 min or less.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist. My apologies, I'm the one that side tracked the topic. There was just so much more of interest in Bushy's pictures than just reloading equipment. I'll abstain from further posts on this topic)

Hey Geland, mate i think you have either the wrong shell holder or it's a bojie! I looked up Lee shell holders and the no for the 38/357 is no1. Yours is stamped N04? Something is definitely wrong. I have a Hornady auto press, and while it's the ducks guts, i still use the Lee hand primer, as the machine doesn't give enough feel to detect loose primer pockets as does the hand model. Hope i am right about the shell holder as it's an easy fix!

Cheers erny.

Bushy, love the gun & boots. Had a blue with the missus about 20 years ago, and jump out of the car around midnight in the middle of nowhere, and walked about 12miles to get home. I will never do that again, i learned the hard way that boots are made for riding not walking! Never again!
Cheers erny!

Depends on what kind of riding/walking heel you have on your boot and the quality/comfort the boot has. I walk all over the place with mine. Including long hikes in the foot hills around here...But a riding boot? Yup...They are not for walkin'...Nope...

Hi Erny

I am sure shell holder No 4 is what required for a .223 Rem Very Happy
below is en excerpt from Lee listing the shell holder.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with my shell holders.
The problem is the design of Lee Auto Prime II.
Due to the way it is constructed, you cannot slide in a shell holder if the primer funnel is longer than the way it is made.
Never mind..
I will make a sleeve for it to fit my shell holders.

Somehow I seem to be missing something here. Mine has worked just fine without modification. Got to be missing something here...

Hi Geland, sorry about my stupid mistake, where in the hell i get 38/357 from is a mystery to me, which only goes to show that it always pays to check with other known sources when you are talking about reloading on the web.
It's just too easy to make a mistake.

I agree with Bushy mate, you shouldn't have to make any alterations to any reloading product, that's why they are named Lee Precision! Me personally, i would do what has already been suggested by stovepipe and get in touch with Lee, and see what they have to say, as i dear say they would be grateful for any enquiry about faulty or mismatched parts with their name on it, plus we all want to know the correct answer from the source for future reference, as now it is a true mystery in it's own right, that has to be resolved!
Cheers erny.
