how about tumble lube size tumble...

I may skip the initial tumble if the brass is relativley clean.

For pistol - Carbide is the way to go.

II used to do that but it's a pain in the bum getting the tumbling media out of the flash holes.

I like clean primer pockets.

I am having a batch of 3000 .223 brass processed using stainless steel pins in liquid in a rotary tumbler. Pictures I have seen of the process have the brass cleaner than any other process I have ever come across. I will post pics of mine when i get it back next week.

Is this a commercial process mate or is it a system that the handloader can buy and use at home? What is the system called? Sounds very interesting... looking forward to seeing any pics mate.

Hm...does a good job, no argument about that...but it's a lot of mucking about, and uses a fair bit of water.

I think I'll stick to the vibrator and corn cob media.

I don't hink it would for the reason that the pins and cases are in motion together and there isn't enough force in the small pins to impact the brass. Idea

Does anyone use either the Hornady or the Lyman ultrasonic machines? I am considering getting one but not sure which is the best and reviews are somewhat scant.

I use the Kendal ultrasonic machine also sold under the Lyman name. After my old lyman tumbler quit, I went with the ultrasound and never looked back.

I went on Ebay to look at some ultrasonic cleaners and there are lots on there from $30- $400 depending on what you want. i am thinking of getting one myself to clean brass and my airbrushes and other what nots.
I have a line on a thumblers tumbler that I borrowed from a buddy and it has been at a mutual buddies place for the last 12 years. I am not sure if it will seal for liquids.

Ordered the Lyman Turbo Sonic 750 from Cabelas (US). It was on sale and since I am not doing large quantities at a time it is the right size. It doesn't have a heater so preheating the solution is necessary. I also ordered a primer pocket uniformer and the soft cover Lyman reloading manual. Funny thing though I added a flash hole cleaner/uniformer but it came back it couldn't be shipped outside of the USA. Probably just an error in their system.
