Well Blue....there is only one thing I can say mate....YOU HAVE ACHIEVED.

Now its time to get out there and bust some hogs with that there .35 pig slammer. Enjoy your hunt mate.

Cheers, Vince

PS As an aside....out here in Australia we call people with red hair Blue or Bluey. Its a compliment.

Vince

Good luck Hogging BigBlue.

I sure wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of your rifle Blue Man.

Thanks for the replies guys!
My first centerfire rifle was a Marlin 336C in .35 Rem. I sold it to my Brother-in-law for next to nothing quite a few years ago and always regretted losing it. I bought that rifle new in 1976. This rifle is 51 years old and now looks and shoots better than that one, so I guess it all came out alright in the end.

When I used to spend the better part of a month hunting in Manitoba, it took me several weeks to get rid of the accent that the folks there had.
Up on the range, all sorts of accents are heard.

By the way, in Aug. I picked up a 336 RC 30-30 for my youngest son Zach.
The gun is in better than 95% condition and was built in 1950.
The guy who had it, put on a beautiful Redfield peep site, that I had to file a tad to lower my impact point.

I had it at the Range yesterday, and all of the guys there took turns shooting it.
We were totally impressed with its accuracy, and quality of this older Marlin.
I'm not a big fan of 30-30s, but I think that Zach will shoot many deer with it in the coming years.

Eric
