I just started getting familiar with the Point Blank Software but can't figure out what "Max Y" on the Ballistics page data view is used for. Can someone explain this to me?

Thanks

Its the path of the bullet if there were no gravity. Its used in angled shot computations... ignore it Smile

Dallan, I'm relatively new to the PointBlank software. Similar to another writer, I would like to be able to calculate trajectories for different loads using the same sight setting (barrel inclination relative to the scope). When I saw your response above regarding Max Y I thought I'd found a simple workaround for keeping the same sight setting. However I investigated PointBank Max Y values for one of my loads and it does not appear to result from a straightline extension of the barrel as would be for the case of a bullet in zero gravity. That bullet would rise indefinately at a constant angle; the inclination of the barrel. The PointBlank Max Y values instead show an exponential increase in Max Y as the yardage increases. What am I missing?
