wtf

Infantry, Bushy....Infantry. Remember....the ground's not held until a soldier with a rifle is standing on it.

I suppose that similar applies to the Navy......the sea's not held till a sailor is floating/swimming in it. Laughing

I've been onboard a couple of US Navy vessels...they are very interesting, but I must admit I am rather partial to terra firma under my feet.
Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Cheers, Vince

Nah, too far to swim if'n the ship goes down. Just respect for each and every serviceman and his "tools of trade", regardless of his service.

What is "the greenhouse"?

Soldier visiting a boat....what else do ya want me to wear? ( No, don't answer that!) Not only that, but some of the sailors were a little in awe of my green beret...heard a few whispers as I moved around.

Its not very often that we get US Naval ships visiting Brisbane...but when they do I'll get more pics. I got a cap off'n "Mo" ( now thats a ship) when she was in Sydney many years ago and another cap off the USS Ronald Regan when she was here a couple of months back.

Cheers, Vince

Time to get back on topic methinks.

What are the chances of the antis getting into office over there in the next election? Do you think that there will be enough amongst the others to keep them in line?

I think that the worst part of the proposed changes that the OSHA had in mind is that they can be applied anywhere in the world under the guise of OH&S.

OH&S is a hot topic everywhere in the world...well the civilised industrial world. All Companies are afraid of the legal system and what it can do to their "bottom line" in the name of OH&S.

The GreenHouse , is what we affectionately called the Navy's Gunnery School in Great Lakes , Illinois .. It was/is a climate controlled building 3 stories tall , outside is a heavy green glass that IIRC was recovered from a German merchant ship in WW2 .. Went there threee times , twice as a student , once as an instructor for my avatar ..
The Mo' and Jersey were real ships , a Gunners Dream .. Spent three days in Sydney gettin' sloshed ..

The anti's getting in ?? Very good unfortunately , the Republicans who for the majority are on our side , are in a bad spot because of Bush and the bogdown in Iraq .. All the democrats are anti for the most part .. And after the last mid term elections control both houses of government .. Tho' ever so slightly ..

That's what I said...Infantry=Ground pounder...

I remember the "Green House"...I saw it when I was going to A and C class Engineman Schools in Great Lakes Ill. Back in 1964 and '72...

Who holds the "high ground" in our country, the Republicans, democrates or Independents, will be determined next year (Nov. 2008). I'm not holding my breath for a favorable outcome. Just being active and praying for a good outcome...I'd hate like hell to finally get a CCW after 64 years and loose it in two years due to anti 2nd Amendment polititions...

Uh oh...looks like another one of them there "sqidgies"...sailor types. Methinks I may be outnumbered here. Haha

Must admit I am getting a little concerned about the outcome of the elections that are due to happen in a number of places around the world shortly. There is The USA, the United Kingdom and Australia. I wonder what the effect of these three elections are going to be on world peace, the War against Terrorism and ulimately firearms ownership throughout the FREE world.

Back nearly on topic.
Read today that California has just out lawed all Kangaroo related products "Due to the way they are Killed"
That last statement would worry me more the any transport issues you may have as they are shot, by trained, qualified, accredited meat processors.
Knock, knock "is that someone at the back door"
Is California now going to outlaw everything else that is hunted then shot?
Can you think of anything?

After spending 20 years in the USSR of C I can tell ya that if they can stop all hunting, they will...On top of that...Over half of the guns in my safe are illegal in california including my Colt 1911 and Colt SAA...
