Beaver skin is supposed to be a pretty warm skin I believe. It would be hard work making “finger” gloves, but wouldn’t mittens make it hard to use your hands?

You wear light gloves inside your mittens. That is standard cold weather loadout.

Holy crap... We've just been through the hottest summer on record. We are at condition RED regarding our water supply. My city has run out of water twice this summer. We've had multiple lakes completely dry up this year, the drought is unreal here...

.... and the weather man is predicting snow at high elevations in the next day or two.... in August. Its been high 90F's to just over 100F for most of the summer.

Weirdest year ever.

Yep, it snowed / is snowing now.

We've also had several cities in absolute dry desert areas with 3-4ft flood waters over the past few weeks. CRAZY!

It was +90F degrees a few days ago. Its going to be +90F in a couple more days... but this was yesterday, August 19:

That is just plain weird Dallan…a big snowfall separating a couple of days of 90°F weather. Very strange indeed.

Weird! About 17 years ago we had three days of snow in a row in the middle of July. Not something you want to wake up to.
