yeah Mates we beat you lot to it and had a great day, Bec's n I took the dogs and boat up to the lake and managed to catch a couple of nice fat trout, brown of 2lb and a 3lb rainbow..... then the fizz boats got busy and it got too noisy for us so we came home.......for all you lot sitting in front of fire or shoveling snow,its 30 degrees here so we panting like a dog ....just too plurry hot for this Kiwi

It would have been a Happy New Year if I saw at least on deer, hog, or turkey today! I was in the field 45 minutes before sunrise and left 45 minutes after sunset (hanging around for any stray hogs). You definitely have to be a nut to do that.

Happy New Year everyone
I'm a nut that just has to hunt more
Preparing for a couple of different ones this year
Duck Opening in Victoria in March
Will chase the bullet proof sambar in May
Then all I have to do is fill in a few other weekends
And Vince I've purchased an old Miroku Stirling in SxS that actually breaks clays [nearly every other gun I have doesn't do this]
Remember its the gun and not the nut behind the butt
Vince, let me know when you are going to try and break a few clays and I will try and join you, Same for you Pete

Sounds like you have a good hunting programme planned for next year Pete. First day of 5 Stand practice at Caboolture is 7 January...haven't looked at first monthly comp yet. Will have to arrange a visit to SSAA Belmont for clays there methinks.
