I think you don't want to know. I visited such a factory once and I can tell you I wouldn't eat my sandwiches in their production, I even wouldn't enter without an overall and a dustmask...

and SJ: when you discover a way to replace the blackpowder with TrailBoss, I will be very interested. When it can be done in a save way, I might shoot these things more often.

Thanks for the tip, Pkslinger. I ordered some of the Seal 1 CLP and will start using it on my muzzleloader and shotguns. Got the paste and pre-soaked patches. Maybe should have got the liquid but its diluted 60% compared to the paste. I think I will leave the bores of my high-powder rifles alone for now and continue to use Bore Tech Eliminator.

After I season the BP Revolver with it, I'll start using black powder with it and just have fun.

Seal 1 arrived today and I started cleaning and "seasoning" the BP Revolver. I'm going to like this product and I think it will make cleaning a BP gun easier. I'll use it on my shotgun but I do not plan to use it in the bores of my high-power rifles. I don't want to change their load characteristics.

Pkslinger, do use it in your bores? What has been your experience?

Slim, I haven't tried it in/on the centerfire rifles, only a couple of handguns. I haven't shot them a lot (recently I haven't shot ANYTHING a lot!) but so far so good.
