Yea, its a little strange but far from unknown. Last year I think August was the only month we didnt get snow somewhere. The concern here though is the recent storm dropped 8-12" in the high country right during fawning season.

But yea, it was brisk! I waited for that storm to clear out for my "sick of work" day off. It was beautiful weather but it was 25F degrees when we got to the lake! It warmed up fast and we had our jackets off within an hour after sunrise.

That couldn't be good for the fawn survival rate...I reckon the cold would knock them around quite severely, not to mention hungry predators looking for anything to eat.

Fingers crossed it hasn't hurt the deer population for coming seasons.
