Guys,

This is actual footage of Heli hunting in NZ, it is illegal etc but some operators still make money from overseas tourists (they sure as shit ain't hunters) coming over and hazing (chasing) Thar and deer until they are tired enough that some lame A-Hole gets out of the chopper and drops them.(this turkey takes at least 6 rounds)

www.whaleoil.co.nz/201...ore-134726

This activity sickens most Kiwi hunters
If you know someone who has a that trophy and says he did it in NZ; unless he's got good footage etc don't believe him if he starts telling big porkies about the stalk etc.

Hope they nailed the chopper pilot's butt to the wall...BIG time, and that his licence to guide hunters was also cancelled.

There will no doubt be some that will claim that this is no different to driven hunts in days gone by when they would use beaters to scare game and birds toward a line of hunters. Using a chopper to find and herd (haze) game does not even come close to this type of hunting. What these morons did is cruel and should attract the most severe penalties.

Such a black heli would have been a very nice trophee...
and you only have to shoot 1 and all the others would immediatly stop doing such things...
so it would be an unique trophee...

The world is stock full of a--h-les, idiots, and evil people who want only what they want regardless of it's impact on others, nature, or if you can accept it, God's command that we be take care of what he has so graciously given us. The earth, it's riches and all it's inhabitants, including the animals.

It is one thing to kill for food, and a totally different thing to kill for trophy's, or just for the thrill of killing. And. I have to wonder about those so called hunters that kill for the thrill, what's the next thrill-people?

Then there are the people who support these idiots. In this case the copter pilot, why? For money of course, does that make them any less evil than the person that hired him, I don't think so.

I don't kill for thrills or trophy's, as a matter of fact I will not kill a buck or any other animal that displays genetically superior characteristics, I kill when necessary for food, and I do it the old fashioned way on my feet and as humanely as possible. Nature and the apex creatures in nature do not kill the superior animals, they take the weak, genetically flawed and the ill or wounded. If we as hunters kill all the Boone and Crockett records what will be left to reproduce new records or provide those superior genetic traits to future generations of their breed?

Unlike the sort of people who would seek to butcher animals in this fashion so they can brag to people about what great virile men and hunters they are (look at how big my c--- is and how much power and money I have). I and I expect the vast majority of Hunting Nuts could not care less what others think about them.

I can understand that this type of activity troubles my friends in NZ as it should and as it should in anyplace it happens, but remember who lets it happen. Who, the same people who are trying to take your guns away. Politicians, wow that word feels so dirty in my mouth.

Sorry for the rant, sometimes I just cannot help myself.

I'm with you Bushy...if it was legal, I would have put that chopper on the ground as well mate. The unfortunate part about it is, if anybody was injured in the process of putting the chopper down, then whoever was responsible would be to blame and would suffer the full power of the law.

Radar...is there an update on this one mate? Did they tear the chopper pilot a new ar$ehole? Has the guide lost his licence to guide? What about the shooters...any word on who they might be or where they are from (I really hope they aren't Aussies)?

That kind of behavior around these parts would end in a downed 'copter.

I actually know a bloke who dropped a jet ranger with a 30-06 many years ago in Wairoa. He did time for that. One through the engine did the trick. Caught the chopper poaching on farmland where he was hunting so BOOM! ......oh shit! Turned himself in several days later, no one was hurt but it wasn't the best result.
