I asked this question on the other forum but I see it belongs here so I will ask it again.

I was using the biggameinfo.com ballistics program until I found this one but it has a useful feature that calculates the number of clicks of scope adjustment needed to re-zero at a known distance.

For example: I am zeroed at 250 with my .243 and my scope has 1/4 MOA clicks, I am 2" high at 100 yards, to put the cross hairs dead on, I would need to make a -2 moa, -8 click adjustment to be dead on at 100 yards. That one is easy and you can do it in your head but as you get out there it gets a bit tricky do do on the fly.

At 400 yards, it is down 13 inches or -3.25 MOA so I come up 13 (3.25*4) clicks to be dead on at 400 yards.

I print this out and tape it to my stock for adjustments in the field.

The data base already has the drop at the distance calculated. Another field that converts drop in inches to MOA at that distance and then multiplies by the fixed amount entered in the front end for clicks per MOA on your scope would be a clean addition to the program.

Thanks ! Jeff

This will be a feature within the next version of PointBlank
