A multi-service group of us were starting a class.

The instructor introduced himself, and, not noticing there was a Marine Captain among us, immediately began to tell a humorous anecdote about Marines.

One of the class quickly raised his hand, and said; "Sir, there is a M-A-R-I-N-E in the room!"
