I forgot about this one, my first 22 that I built for myself. Let me know what you think...

I also threaded both the barrel and receiver for a more solid lock-up....

That is a sweetheart of a rifle.
I agree with Elvis, gonna have to buy a keyboard protector when looking at your guns.

See DS....I'm not the only one that drools over the pics of your creations mate. Laughing

Like all of your rifles, this one too is a damn fine piece of work. I like the short barrel, it looks real "smart". I'm surprised that there is no discernible crown mate, unless the faint carbon "shadows" halway between the muzzle opening and the outside of the barrel indicate a slightly concave crown. From the look of the carbon marks on the muzzle...the barrel works a treat mate.

Have to be honest though...that stock is gonna have to work hard to grow on me...never been a lover of laminated stocks.

Cheers, Vince

I greatly appreciate the compliments guys - thank you!

One point that I did not mention before is that the smaller diameter of the barrel is .920" and the larger diameter of the barrel 1 1/16"...

Vince, you're right, I did not crown this barrel like I do all others. Since this gun is mine, I just wanted to go with a flat 90 degree crown and let the "carbon signature" at the muzzle speak for itself....

It's talkin' mate...speaking volumes...and all in your favour. You have done yet another brilliant job.

When I saw the 1 1/16" section I thought you had made an intergal suppressor for it.

No Sir. I started with a 1 1/16" diameter barrel blank and turned the breech end to .920 so it would fit in the stock...

The short forend allowed for going with an even larger diameter bull barrel...

The weight and balance of this rifle is prefect. It is NOT front end heavy and shooting off hand is very comfortable and not tiresome at all....

Also, plywood is what it is referred to in this part of the world. Had never actually heard it referred to as laminate until I saw it on the internet.
