That is one BIG storm. Looks like it just starting to slam Queensland which certainly doesn't need any more rainfall. Batten down the hatches and stay dry, mates!

Are you an island yet, Vince? I was impressed that the news channel covered this storm first and said it was a "big deal" before they covered the snow storm that is paralyzing the US right now. I've been enjoying CA weather but now have to get back home tomorrow.

No, not an island...although the Land of The Aussie is one big island anywayz. Well, for all it s monster size and bluster, YASI turned out to be a bit of a fizzer...which in all honesty is a good thing. It did destroy a couple of small towns, but nothing near what they expected or it had the potential to do. Maybe Mother Nature looked down on us and thought..."you've had enough for the time being...now don't crap in my brew mug again!!"

Best part is there have been no deaths or casualties reported. Thank God.
