Spent the day with my family trying to visit the Blue Ridge Parkway. Construction messed us up but we still managed a nice picnic! Second day off in about a month. And two more to go!

Pretty slow day at the range yesterday only went through about 150 rounds. We were there mainly to look for brass. There was a guy shooting that gave us 20 rounds of 270 and 30-06. But not much else there.

I was at the farm with a couple of guys from Walnut Hill that work on ponds. my new pond has not held water since day-one. The guys are putting in a liner, or were, until we got rained out. It is raining now and I am about ready for a ribeye and a cold beer myself.

No pee in the pond Bushy.

If you look close, to the left of the Bob Cat loader you will see the stand pipe. It is a 1 1/2 inch line that runs 500 feet from a 4 inch deep well with a submersable pump in the bottom. That pipe acts as an areartor and fill pipe. It puts out 43 gallons per minute. It did take 10 days to fill the pond, running 24-7. But when thus filled, the water is blue-green and clear.

Now with the liner it should take less time to fill and it should stay full. All we need to do is get enough dry time to get er done.
