I know this is an old post but has anyone seen these in the stores?

I want to try 'em, but the guy running the local shop has never even heard of them....

Guess I could check Midway, or other on-line sources, but I hate to pay shipping if I don't hafta....

I have looked at them at Wally World but have yet to find anyone who has given them a try. Would be interested to know how well they perform.

I got some at Wally World back in Oct. Tried them out could not get them to go down the barrel broke my ramrod doing it. They would not pattern for me! Used powerbelts that I had left (2) worked got a deer the last day of muzzleloader .

My Encore has a tight bore and I have trouble pushing sabots down it now. If those things are any tougher to push down, I will stick with what I have.

Glenn, I also have an Encore and found the sabots a little hard to load. I have no trouble loading the PowerBelts and, with 1.5" groups at 100 yards, I can't complain about the accuracy.

I also had trouble getting them to start. I have since found out that they are .507 at the base and need to be smacked pretty good to start. I think I will stay with my Parker Ballistic Extremes until they come up with something easier to load. By the way, I never got one to start and read a report on them later, so that is the extent of my knowledge on FPB bullets.

I tried 'em the other day at the range, and prolly didn't give 'em a fair chance. The first one would load fairly easily in my Encore (the QLA muzzle helps), but unlike Honrady's claim, subsequent shots are extremely difficult to get down the bore. I fired 'em with 3 Triple Seven pellets and a Federal primer. Best group I had was just over 5" @ 100 yards (3 shots without cleaning the bore). Worst 3 shot group is unknown, since 1 not only missed the paper, it missed the entire target backer.

I didn't have time to vary my powder charge or primer (gettin' ready for Opening Day 12-01). I'll put the remaining ones away till next summer when I have more time to play with 'em.

I could not get them started in my Shadow, so nixed 'em!! I am using Blackhorn 209 so I know powder residue would not be a problem. Don't know if I will even try them again. I fgure they either work or they don't.

I just shot FPB's in my X-7 Omega on top of two triple seven pellets and a triple seven primer. First loaded pretty decent but tight area a few inches above pellets that might be built up plastic or metal fouling?? Second one loaded harder at triple seven ring but still doable if I needed a second shot on game. I put five shots in 6" bullseye at 100 yds, not great, but dead deer. I attribute accuracy to 1X scope only allowed in Wisconsin for deer hunting, if I could put 3-9X on it, I would shoot better groups. With 59 year old eyes and 1X, I sight on the outside of the paper target, not the bullseye. Dumb a@# Wisconsin. Still pretty good with FPB, will hunt with them today and report back
