DEER !!!!

My daughter landed in Vancouver a week ago for a 12 month working holiday. She went up to Capilano and Grouse Mountain and saw these deer....although I think it is the same critter.

She sent the pics home to me to make me jealous...it worked. Sad

Oh she knows I can't make the trip....Tricia wouldn't let me go...cost far too much.

However...when the mortgage is paid off, I just might be able to see my way clear to do it...that's in about 20 yrs time. Laughing

Glad your daughter is enjoying her trek to the land of Canucks, Vince. The Capilano River has some good salmon fishing in it right about now and it's too bad it's not a few months later on, grouse mtn has some great skiing. I grew up in Vancouver and spent a lot of time on those north shore mountains. Those views are about the only thing I miss about living in that rather large city... Laughing

My daughter has been looking forward to this trip for about 18 months, while she saved for it. She plans on applying for a Chef's position at Whistler. She has been told that about 2 weeks into the season there are usually jobs available.

I'm not exactly certain where she intends to visit in Canada, but her fiancee grew up in Nanaimo, so he has given her heaps of guidance, although he stayed back here in Oz because of the cost.

Brooke is sharing an apartment near Pandora Park with two others...only $550 a month.... so she now has a base of operations and is putting together her plan for the next 12 months.

Nah, 'Mitri's ok and she's alright...I taught her to shoot and fight many years ago....and she has her Pappy's temper Evil or Very Mad

so anybody who upsets her is taking on a handful and then some. Laughing

Having said that, she has a great disposition and loves meeting new people, so if she bumps into 'Mitri I reckon that they will both come away from the meeting feeling like they have made a good friend.

Hang on...isn't 'Mitri sorta betrothed to Elyboy's youngun', Hope? I don't want her hunting me down for upsettin' the applecart. Laughing
