LR.308 two different loads

I loaded up a couple of different recipies and took my LR.308 to the range. This is 10 shots at 100 yards( 41grns of IMR4895)

This is 5 shots at 100yards( 41.5 grns of IMR4064) The rest of the cartridge being the same for both loads, GMM brass, Sierra 168grn MatchKings, CCI#34 primers and loaded to mag length.

. I think I'll stick with either of these two loads for now.

Sweet! When you are ready for more experimentation, try Varget in your second load (with all good safety guidlines, of course). Varget is very much like 4064, only not near as temperature sensitive.

Do you shoot F-Class with your rifle at all?

Thats damn fine shooting mate. I agree with FALPhil...try Varget mate...its an aussie powder and its it perfect for the 308. You won't be disappointed.

My .308's are the only rifles I haven't tried Varget in. These loads Im using now would be pretty hard to beat, but I'll try some and let you know how it works. We don't have any F-class events in our sillouette matches, but I would love to give it a try, I shoot at all ranges from 50 meters to 1000 quite a bit when I'm practicing by myself.

I use Varget in my 308 and love it. You have some great loads worked up by the looks of things but I don't think you will be disapointed by trying Varget.
