After firing 1,000 rounds through this handgun, I believe it to be one of the better dollar values (most sell for around $479 to $525 locally). It is accurate and has been without failures to feed or extract with a variety of ammo. Mine has tight tolerances, but, some variations have been observed between different specimens. Trigger pull can vary from gun to gun as well. Mine breaks clean at 4.25lbs, new, and at 4lbs now. No overtravel. Finish is adequate. The Heine sights are something you either love or dislike. It comes with two 8 round magazines and, unfortunately, a full length guide rod, now since removed*. Lifetime warranty.
Accuracy: with American Eagle 230gr, three 10 shot groups, 25yds, Ransom Rest, average 2.85".
Independence 230gr, 3/10, RR, average 3.60"
Winchester SXT 230gr, 2/10, RR, average 2.40"
Golden Saber, 230gr, 2/10, RR, average 4.25"
*a seperate test with American Eagle showed no difference between the full length guide rod and without it. Stock spring was used with and Wolff used without.
When a fully accessorized 1911 can be had at this price, I wonder if it will significantly affect models such as Springfield Armory's WW and 1911A1s?
