I'm still load testing my Remington 700BDL in .25-06. I'm getting there, but it's a slow process. I picked up a can of IMR7828 but haven't had a chance to get to the range and test it. It seems to me it should be a good powder for this caliber. I've used IMR4350, 4831 and Rel-19, but am looking for something even better yet, and I'm hoping IMR7828 is the ticket. Anyone here familiar with it? I'm appreciative of all information on this one. Best wishes.

i had good luck with my 25-06 with imr 4350 (49.5 grns) its near max so work up carefully with 117 grn hornady btsp. this load shows no high preasure sign in my rifle , i seated the bullet .035 from the rifleings. its not imr 7828 tho... Razz

I use IMR 7828 in my rem 700BDL 25-06 and have been for many years. It works great and my load is at Max using hornady 117 gr BTSP. It works great on Muleys and Whitetails. I have used other powders in my 25-06, but I like the IMR 7828 best.

Have you tried IMR4831 and if so what kind of load did you use?

Asking a reloader about powder likes & dislikes is a loaded question (no punn intended). I don't know that anyone here could honestly say a powder is good, bad, or ugly. Too many choices, too many great powders...IMR7828 falls into that category. I've used it, I like it, but, I could say that about every powder I use for loading projects. I guesss I could say, I've never found a powder I didn't like Confused
Keep it coming...
