|
Been awhile thought I would drop in and say
hi to everyone. Hope all is good.
Mostly good here in central Iowa.
Had a couple of skin grafts done to release
the scar on my back. Now I have matching
"Racing Stripes" on my fat gut!!!!
Picked up a couple new items that make noise.
One will hopefully give the kid some motivation
to do something outside of the video games.
Put together a long range .22LR rifle.
Now need to sight it in and learn Mil-Dot
reticle system.
Also need to work up a nice load for
the Yugo M70 .32. It is enjoyable to run.
That about it. Type at ya'll later.
Arron

Ok, I will bit ....
I never thought I would hear "long range" and "22LR" used together.
I use Mil-Dots reticles for long-range bullet drop compensation successfully for big game hunting for 10+ years by adjusting magnification to tune the mil-dots to 300, 400, 500, and 600 yards with a 2nd focal plane scope.
www.huntingnut.com/ind...ht=reticle
I've been using a Mil-dot 1st focal plane scope for my long-range precision rifle with 0.1 mrad adjustment and lover it.
I'm sure there is lots out there for long-range 22 competition but I'm wondering if a MOA 1st focal plane scope might serve you better.
I would be enjoy following along and learning about your LR 22LR project.

Yeah Slim, its a thing.
400 to 500 yards with .22lr.
Search youtube.
A sure way to reinforce what windage and elevation actually do....

Last one of theirs I watched was .308 out to 3200mts, only took 8 shots to hit the 2ftx2ft plate....
