this has been on my mind to post for awhile now so here goes.
one of the things about this place that I really LOVE is being able to say whatever is on my mind and KNOW you lot will accept it as my opinion and not belittle/put down /get knickers in a knot about it.... Deer sniper in recent posts mentioned church and in another blessed reader...now on one of the sites I visit that would get knickers in knot and see abuse hurled towards poster with fairies at bottom of garden etc etc slung about.
Im a recent born again and have always considered myself as Christian.
Another thing that seems to be common theme here is respect for armed services and law enforcement...that too is breath of fresh air...no piggy or baby burner comments just respect as is deserved...the younger generations just dont seem to get it... frightenening statistic I heard today 9 out of 10 young people in NZ have no connection to a church anymore...our laws,morals and way of life are loosely biblically based...we seem to be getting further and further away from what has put us where we are.

AMEN Elvis...you couldn't have hit the nail on the head any squarer mate. The Nut is one of the most, if not the MOST amicable sites I have seen anywhere. The guys and gals on here don't take or offer offence at anybody's opinions or posts..in fact it's quite the opposite.

Everybody here can take a joke and are happy to laugh at themselves, along with everybody else, if they have done something that is deserving of a bit of ribbing...something like leaving the rifle bolts at home when going hunting Embarassed

or taking careful aim at a prize critter and not noticing the small sapling in the way, and then shooting said sapling dead centre (now who was that again?) But seriously, I have made so many friends on here, from all around the world and all walks of life, that I simply can't afford the time and money to visit them all when I visit the US this month (as it is I've spent near enough to AUD$20K on my trip). I'm really disappointed that about this, but that's life I suppose. Sad

Dallan, you need to give yourself a huge attaboy mate, a big pat on the back, for creating Hunting Nut and guiding our little community in the right direction.

I have been told that I make a lot of people angry,

are we all really that old and experienced that we already know what really matters in this world?

As long as we can laugh with things, they are bearable...

I can only agree with the above. The only other place where I find such openness is a private forum I feel privileged to be a part of.
Pretty much the same mix of people as seen here & the same attitudes towards honesty, probity & a willingness to help others.

It'll never work for the socialists. Very Happy
