The national news here just showed clip of cop chase in vagas where officer fired through his own windscreen taking out the driver and stopping the chase...... all I can say is give that man a HUGE pat on the back for using his brain and doing what needed to be done. both hands on gun and none on wheel,that man has brains and balls. good on him.

think crims had just committed murder,they were fleeing at high speed in daylight and firing shots at pursuit....he put gun in left hand out window then thought better of it and took the only semi logical option left to him.....brave man who did what needed doing.

Yeah, I saw that video. The chase went on for a while with the grub firing back at the Police a few times...on crowded roads! There was the potential for innocent victims so, as Elvis said, the LEO took the option of a reasonably well aimed shot through his windscreen. The real payoff came when the hole was big enough and the speed low enough to allow for a two handed hold and well aimed shots that ended the chase. I say a real big well done to the LEO for using his initiative and, at the cost of a windscreen, ended a deadly chase.

That’s a valid method of returning fire to get out of the faeces. Been used in NZ a couple of times by our guys.
It was initially developed by the Brit SAS when in Northern Ireland during the “troubles”
Funny name that. ‘The Troubles’
