Hi all,

Been a bloody long time since I came onto this site and I feel as if I've let you all down.

First the news
Im now a grandfather at 49 years young. My eldest and his fiancee have a little girl Amelia - to say Im wrapt just doesn't cover it. Theres a pile of emotions I didn't think I'd be prone to including welling up on my first hold. I must be getting soft!
Its a big significant event in our family as its about 9 months since my dad shuffled off his mortal coil. Apart from that we have 6 very happy great grandparents and an unusual series of firsts - Amelia is the 4th first child of a first child in my family - Mum , Me, Liam and now her - its going to be a special weekend this weekend.
I bought a gift for the baby shower (a camo hunting rug in Pink) Ive even got permission to take her hunting when she's older - As long as she wants to go hunting with Gramps/Koro - not sure which one I'll use.

Apart from that my wife and I are seriously thinking about taking a 4 month hiatus and travelling next year - Europe and the States as long as 'the don' allows us into the US.
I'll keep you posted and might even make it an opportunity to try to meet and greet a few of you whilst tripping around.

Keep up the good work and I'll see whats been happening around the traps.

Congratulations to both Nat yourself Radar, and of course to the proud Mum and Dad. It's a pretty special feeling becoming a grandfather for the first time mate, I know exactly how you feel...and it doesn't change with each subsequent addition.

Congtats Radar. I have a 25 year old granddaughter that still brings a twinkle to this ol' gentleman's eye and ages me back 30 years.

Radar! welcome back and Congrats on the grand parent thing. I seem to be a generation ahead of you as I have a two year old great grand son.
I swear I'm not that old but I might get that old faster now.
