30 something years ago I got into reloading. Learned about it in a hunter safety class in high school. Set up a room in my parents wash room. When I got married, I built a 12x14 shed, with A/C and used that now for 22 years. My daughter moved out a few years back and her room has been a storage room since. I cleaned all the junk out of there, painted the walls and fixed it up. I gonna build a custom bench and have all my reloading equiptment in the room. Gonna have a jam up man cave. I'll take pics when I'm done. Wife bought my a new press for Christmas, Hornady lock n load AP.

Good on you DS!

On the reverse from you, my daughters are growing up and they require a room each, so I am currently being evicted from my man cave. Sad

Good for you DS. My reloading room used to be my daughters bedroom as well and before that it was in the basement. Sure is nice to be upstairs. Very Happy The only problem is that my man cave gets a tad messy at times and because it is across the hall from the master bedroom, I get the gears from time to time because of that or if I forget to close the door. Very Happy Very Happy It sure is handy cause I have my own flat screen TV, desktop computer etc. When I'm at home I spend a lot of time in my retreat. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

You are a lucky man DS. I an restricted to the back corner if my two car garage because my daughters have utilised my garage to store their excess crap and corruption.

My mate has an awesome man cave in the lower level of his two storey house...maybe one day I'll have similar...well, I can dream.

It gets a work out.

I will load about 3000 .223, couple of hundred each of .243, .308 and 30-06. About a thousand each of .45, .38spl, 9mm and .40 SW a year with some odd 30-30 and .380 stuck in for good measure.

Several years ago I had to move so I lost my nice long work bench down in the garage that was heated and cooled. Now at my new location the only place I have is my storage building which is fine as long as the temperature stay in the 40's during the Winter months,I can heat it up enough to make it fairly comfortable.

My plan next year is to take my tax return and buy myself a nice wooden outdoor building that is insulated so I can heat an cool it and have a decent man cave again. I made do with some thing I found at the local salvage store like a old office desk for $15 a entertainments center somebody put out by the curb for free and a nice office chair that has a broken caster that I fixed with a tube of JB Weld which cost me about $5 The most expensive part was the rack it cost me $25 at Wally World. I keep my powder and primers in the house and just take what I need when I go out to load some ammo.

res45,
I like the chair!
Your reloading station is as uncluttered as mine - the sad part is I can't use mine yet. I need to finish the garage and shop in order to put all the gear I have away and then I will be able to use the shop and the reloading stations.

Thanks Paul,it took me a couple months to get things to a point where I could get my reloading stuff back out and get going again. I felt out of sorts not having it set up. Luckily my good friend Andy who lives just down the road I had met in another forum was into shooting and reloading as well,so he let me use his equipment till I got going.

We get together a couple times a month and do some shooting or cast some bullets or just sit back and talk shop or whatever comes to mind over a big pot of beans and cornbread for lunch.
