Like anywhere, the outcome in courts has to do with money and connections. This was brought home to me at an early age when Kennedy got off scot free for Chappaquiddick.
In this case, the scumbag has connections with the State Police and District Attorney, but the local police want very badly to at least get a felony conviction and court-ordered psychiatric help.
You're probably right that he won't get jailed.

Thats rough mate, hope he's on the improve…..
As for the spineless bastard that cold cocked him, you might find that if he's hated by LEOs he's gonna be hated by Corrections and then triple hated by the inmates, he could be in for a number of non elective treatments dosed out by Karma…..

Keep your feet firmly planted. "mind over matter" You don't mind - he don't matter and do everything within your lawful and legal powers to ensure Karma and meathead's paths cross.

Exactly the plan, Radar.
Nathan is doing very well. He is already back at his desk working at the hospital, though not yet allowed to push wheelchair patients. He returned to work yesterday (Tuesday).
