God vs Science

A college professor was lecturing his students about the absurdity of a belief in God.

"If God is real, I want him to prove He exists. I will step onto this wooden stand on the stage here and I want God to knock me off it within 10 minutes."

The professor stood silently for 5 minutes.

"What's the matter, God? Aren't you powerful enough to knock over a simple little non-believer like me?" he mocked.

As the last minute ticked by a young Marine ROTC cadet walked up and punched the professor squarely in the face sending him flying across the stage.

"What in the hell do you think you are doing?" the professor screamed.

"Well," explained the young Marine, "God was busy elsewhere so he sent me."
