I was watching someone read their kindle.
I thought okay, I got to get me one of those.

So, today I went out and get me a Kindle Paperwhite.
It got "front lighting" so I could read in the dark... good.
It got battery life for 8 weeks! ok even better..

but..

Boy, that thing is frustrating!
How in the world one manage the book collections?
You can't set folders.. pretty much all jumbled up together and very difficult to find.

Ya, I use that too.
But the bloody thing do not have a mass selection, so I could only add files to the "collection" one at a time..
I have hundreds of datasheets to sort out!!

I've been considering some sort of tablet for my wife. She likes to read but her vision is failing. I figure with the right 10" tablet we can increase the font size for her. Also with Wi-Fi she could cruise the internet or watch TV with it. I'm just in the preliminary stage of deciding what we want.

That said, I like my Samsung Galaxy 7" tablet. It can be an e-reader and also let me surf. The GPS feature works pretty good too! I haven't loaded many apps on it. The salesman told me that there were 250,000 apps available for Android. He didn't mention that 249,000 were pretty much just crap.

If battery life is not the question, an Android tablet is absolutely marvelous!

The only strength of an E-ink display devices are battery life and ability to read under bright sun light.
In other traits, Androids beat it hands down.
