Every Sunday we raise the flag at my range, I have my hat over my heart, others that went Over There salute.

I love my guns, my truck, my tools and my home. I love brights lights that come on when I hit the switch- EVERY TIME, indoor plumbing, big horsepower, burning rubber and things that go boom. I love hot water and a roaring fire too, I have no desire to live in a cave wearing leaves and skins so the world won't "heat up". I love my window A/C unit too.

I don't bow to or make any apologies to any country, foreign or domestic- neither should any of my elected officials. EVER. Should same occur they should instantly be banned for life.

I love the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, even though I can't recite what all is on them- and, I'll lay down my life for them both. Anywhere, anytime. Two words are always on my lips- BRING IT.

Being an American is not a crime. It's a privilege!

When I'm walking into work from the parking lot (or going home) and I hear "colors" playing as they raise/lower the flag on the military base next door, stop and stand at attention until the ceremony is complete. Few who walk by understand what I'm doing.

One of my favorite book from a favorite author (RIP) with setting at just after the American Civil War.
It is a quote from "Florian" somewhere in the story, I like the line a lot too.

We too raise the Australian flag on our range every Saturday and day we are shooting. Like you I too stand fast as the flag is raised and lowered. I keep an eye on the flag during the day to make sure it is flying proud.
