either way they need them and should know how to use them, our coppers have had their hands tied behind their backs for too long. If they take awhile to get to your crime scene well just be thankfull they have cars now and you arent waiting days for them to arrive on the stage coach or on horseback as we once did Im confident they got there as fast/ safely as they could. crikey we are becoming a demanding society instant gratification or we winge about it Sad

the cops have guns, but watching them practice, you would have thought that it'll be better if they THROW the guns rather than shoot them.
Safer that way too.

so they need to be trained.... properly.... If you have the chance to watch them maybe you could help them by showing them how its done, they could say bugger off but I dont think so if they are genuine .

They have guns but are not allowed to use them. They are in big trouble when they use their gun on a living target that's not a mad cow...
Only when their life or somebody elses is in danger AT THE MOMENT THEY RETURN FIRE. So when the bad guy shoot 2 or 3 times and then start running away, they are no longer allowed to shoot... Or when the attacker uses a knife (or a car): no guns allowed.
