And, I need somebody here to go upstairs and get my reloading books, My notes say 4.8 grs., is max on Titegroup but on Ominivision1's post the chart shows Titegroup as 4.5 grs. max. If I am in error then I am already loading to max, and it is good. I will check it out and update when I see what my books say. At any rate the cartridges worked well and I am satisfied, depending on what I find out I may stay where I am with these and move on to other calibers (.357 Mag, 38 Special, 40 S&W. .270, 7mm Mag, and .308, oh yeah and my son-in-laws 30.06 not that I'm in any hurry there) or change the 9mm load and try again.

Thanks to everyone else’s experience and suggestion, I am a complete novice at this and I appreciate you input.

I have also read that OAL is really critical on handgun cartridges. Finally since the 9mm head spaces on the case mouth, no crimp or only a slight crimp using a tapered crimping die is recommended. Am I just being a bit paranoid??

Not being paranoid at all, here's a quote from the 48th edition of Lymans manual.

"With any handgun cartridge, it is important not to seat
bullets to a shorter length than specified in the data. This is
especially important with 9mm loads. Pressures can be raised
dramatically with deep seating."

the difference between one book and another is quite suprising also between books of diferent ages. go with a happy medium that feels good to shoot and you wont go far wrong.my old nosler manual has a list of loads and marks most accurate and recomended for hunting load. not always the hottest load and not always the same two loads either. different strokes for different folks I guess. just checked my Nick Harvey manual and his max loads are slightly less than the 2nd chart of Omnis which prooves how much different info is out there. NH loads are normally hot for rifles too.

I went and dug out some more reloading manuals and found in the 2nd edition of Lee loading book that 4.8grs is the max charge plus my 2008 hodgdon book lists 4.8grs of Titegroup as max for the Speer gold dot bullets. In my Lee 2nd edition, it's stated that all loads listed in this book were pressure tested by data sent from Lee to Speer.
