might help a bit if I knew what the heck a puku was/is???
Otherwise some really good ham and some good mashed potatoes
and various vegtables. surprisingly..not alot of sweet stuff. I can't handle eating alot anymore. Wish I was losing weight though. Could stand to lose about 25-35 pounds. Could care less what that is in that friggin' metric system. I hate metrics! I mean what are we going to do drag a quarter Kilometer? Yeah right! HAHAHAHA!

Well I gotta admit that all sounds real good, but me and my grandson took 2 wild hog hams about 18 ponds each and fixed them up.
We sugar cured the first (three weeks in the cure) and then cold smoked it for five days. The second one we brined and then hot smoked for 12 hours.
Doogie was a great help and he needed to learn how to do it anyway.
Then there was a bunch of potatoes and other veggies, and cheese sauce, and one of my favorites Harvard Beets, and two homemade pecan pie. (Pecans from my backyard)
All together a good meal, the only thing that wasn't so good is the old lady gave most of the leftover meat to the family. Boy that really p----- me off.
