When you need a good laugh, turn to kids!

These have to be original and genuine - no adult is this creative! Very Happy

MELANIE (age 5) asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Melanie said, "If you don't remember you have to look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to six

BRITTANY (age 4) had an earache and wanted a painkiller. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a childproof cap and she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked: "How does it know it's me?"

JAMES (age 4) was listening to a Bible story. His dad read: "The man named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city but his wife looked back and was turned to salt." Concerned, James asked: "What happened to the flea?"

The Sermon I think this Mom will never forget.... this particular Sunday sermon..."Dear Lord," the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. "Without you, we are but dust." He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter (who was listening!) Leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little girl voice, "Mommy, what is butt dust?"

That is good and i know what you mean!

My daughter age 8.
Dad, why don't we weigh money or refer to it as pounds like they do in europe??
My answer to her was simply....it would just add to a mass confusion. But dad, how confused can you be.....because if that's the case, gimme a pound of hundreds! Shocked Laughing

Well there is a misconception with kids these days.

Case in point....When i was going to school kids my age and a few years younger all had jobs. This was great because when we got into trade/college we had to do job related things and were asked if we ever held a job.
One of my old buds had a girlfriend just 2 1/2 years younger than him, that never held a job. While going to college she had to do part of her credit in a office work setting, but not ever having a job she didn't know what the hell to do, and honestly didn't know which end was up without asking for help, weather it be her parents or her boss.
Ultimately she was graded down for not knowing how to hold and juggle work and school....she had no sence of accomplishment outside of her parents and school which lead her into a nervous breakdown.

This may be an extreme case, but i'll be honest with you......i know of quite a few people that had this happened to, and just because they didn't know the "real world" outside of being sheltered.

So in any event.....sorry i was soo long winded, but my baby girls will have a job Wink

I agree with that. All my kids had jobs while going to school. My soon to be 16 year old has already saved and bought a very good used car for when she gets her license. I don't feel parents do their kids any good by giving them everything. I'l help out but that's it.

Well I myself agree with a job on the weekends or something. Smile

But some kids in highschools I went to over did it and were failing because they worked too much. Thats why I dont like the idea myself personally Razz

It's all about balance.....Which a good parent knows how to balance their childrens life without the possibility of getting burned out Wink

I have 2 boys and girl. They worked while in high school and college. They all have master degrees. My wife of 37 year has taught high school math for 37 years. I have a master degree in social work and worked with kids for 11 years and after burning out became a insurance agent. I have known more kids spending to much time in sports than in working. I told my kid when in grade school if they didn't make their grades I was not helping them in college. My 2 sons college was paid for by National Guard. Most of the fathers I know have been to more ball games than parent teacher conferences. Sorry but I get on soap box it comes to kids and school.

Welcome to the site seoklashooter Howdy

I think sports really screwes kids up because what i've seen is parents that are more competitive than the kids and pushing instead of enjoying. My best friend of 22 years delt with his father being soo competitive in his participation of sports, that is lead my buddy into despising his father for a good 15 years. Now that he looks back he wishes that he had a dad instead of a coach and what he calls a slave driver.
