I got an e-mail from Mid-south yesterday advertising these ZOMBIE loads from hornady. Leave it to the marketing gurus I guess.

Here is the deal, Gun rights supporters don't need this type of attention. The shooting this week in CA makes it an even more sensitive situation. This isn't a toy they are using to pop zombies, its not a video game, its a real product with deadly consequences when used as they depicted in their advertizing.
I called the 800-number. They told me that Hornady was just trying to have some fun and that Hornady didn't care what people thought.
When responsible gun owners are taken-a-back by it, the negative reaction from others will be off the charts. They are going to get swacked. Hornady is in a serious business. They need to take it seriously!!!!

Maybe its time to stop pussyfooting around for fear of offending anti-gunners or others who are just looking for a reason to be offended. There is nothing in those ads that hasn't been seen hundreds of times on TV. No thinking person could think this is serious.

I'm torn between Punkin's attitude of "it's a bit of fun, don't take it seriously" and the attitude of the others.
I can see both sides of the "coin" here...on one hand, I can see it as a bit of "tongue in cheek" fun advertising that is obviously aimed at the younger demographic...however, on the other hand, it is this sort of thing that the ANTIs will grab with both hands and run with. Like Punkin I found it pretty amusing, but I am concerned what the ANTIs will try to do with the connotations...ie, this ammo being used/designed to shoot a human body.
The jury is out on this one at the moment with me.
