Well not me personally, but my fellow deputies. 3 of them were shot today during a domestic dispute that really was a home invasion. Suspect invades his ex-girlfriends house and she call the police. Suspect starts shooting her as deputies arrived, they run inside and he shoots the first one in the chest where the bullet goes between his ballistic panels and hits his aorta. The 2nd one gets hit directly in the chest but his trauma plate deflects the bullet, he gets away with just 3 broke ribs, the 3rd deputy gets shot on the forearm. They return fire and strike the suspect once on the hand is what I've been told late tonight. Suspect then barricades himself and his hostage, whom he shot 5 times, 2 in the knees and at least once in the vaginal area, in the bathroom. When SWAT arrives, he shields himself with a baby at the house and then gives up. COWARD. The first officer, Jeremy Cassidy, is not doing good, last report I've got was his kidneys are gone and he has extensive liver damage. Prayers are appreciated. Thank you, Rudy.

Rudy...my prayers and thoughts are going out to yourself, your Station and fellow Police Officers and most importantly to the families of those who put their lives on the line and were shot.

Please pass on my condolences and prayers to the families of those who were shot, in particular Jeremy Cassidy.

I am also going to pass this on to a friend I have in Florida...a wife of a retired Police Officer and also a Psychic/Faith Healer for her prayers.

Same here! My family is in Pensacola and I had not yet heard about this. They are on our prayer list.

DS, my best and life-long friend is a SWAT instructor/leader. I am never really at rest knowing what he goes up against every day with the scum that society condone and let run rampant out here. Our time togther is golden and his Service goes above and beyond, as well as ALL others that take the Oath to Serve and Protect.

Your story chilled me. My thoughts and prayers to you and the Families that are dealing with this horrible situation.

My thoughts are with you and your mates!

I believe that the police, paramedics and volunteer service persons are sacred professions.
You guys have a tough job and faced with situations that I would not have patience or resolves to deal with daily.
My gratitude for what you have done to make this society liveable.

I think the shooter must at least pay for the officer Cassidy's loss of kidneys and liver by donating his own,
I am sure that most of us here would volunteer to rip them out of his body without anesthetics if we can ensure that they are reusable.
