Does anyone get Hunting/Reloading gifts for Christmas from their wifes/girlfriends?
I don't and do not want anyone else buying me these types of gifts. There are just somethings I want to pick for myself. I wouldn't mind a gift certificate from Cabela's or Gander Mountain, etc. though!

I agree that I prefer a gift certificate for my gifts. I do buy reloading stuff for my relatives and freinds that reload. This year they are each getting a Frankford Arsenal digital micrometer. All the best...

bubbadoyle,
Now that's a good idea! You're sure to get what you want.

My wife asks for a "Wish List" every year. I give her one, and usually get something from it for my Bday and something else for Christmas. Sometimes I even get bonuses through out the year.
If she see's something at a garage sale that goes "Bang, Twang, or melts lead, makes bullets, or looks like lead, she buys it for me. Im dang lucky to have her.

Wish list....Bullets, powder, primers, brass cases and a gun to shoot them out of. Same every year...Makes it easy. No paper work for me...

The "wish list" is the way to go. I am pretty specific about what I want and I include info on where to get it and how much it should cost. My list also includes books, tools, etc. Nobody else knows what I have (and I'm frequently confused myself!) so that way I avoid duplicates or things I really don't want. Of course use of the list by family and friends is totally optional!

I too make up a hunting gear list and sometimes people choose items from the list. If they don't then they don't buy hunting related items.

As the child trying to figure things out for the hunting side of the family I like wish lists. My dad makes them but NEVER gives them to the family. That's helpful too, give the list to people (that's a hint dad). I did get him his first scope. I listened every time we went by them at Wally World and got the one he kept looking at. For my grandpa he has so much stuff I go for the gift cards, keeps things simple.

I take what ever wish book I'm looking at and draw circles around what I want with a bright marker. Be sure to hilight anything of importance. Then just let it lay around opened up to that page.
