You are right when you say I hope ebverybody remembers the reason for the holiday. Like many religious holidays, the retail industry has turned it into something other than what it is meant to be.

Thanks Vince,We had a wonderful day.My Dad came down from north Alabama today(10th time I have seen him in my 43 years on this earth)and he went to church with us and spent the day with my family amd me.My grandparents prevented he and my mom from being together.But I am blessed that I had the courage to find him last year.I hope you and your family had as wonderful a day as I had. Wish I could've been home with my family. But I went to Yauido in Seoul for the Cherry Blossom Fest. and had some time to reflect on nature. Helped to put things back into perspective.

Taught my students about "American Easter" and didn't realize how much the stores have taken over until the last few classes when they asked do all American holidays center around candy and food. That made me stop and think about what it all means.
