Last weekend I bought a mint .50 T/C Hawken flintlock from a local gun shop and sold it the same day. It just came in minutes before I arrived at the shop and I got it cheap. The shop has other used muzzleloaders, but the tend to be in rough shape and some suffer from improper cleaning and/or neglect. I only consider used guns that are in the best condition.

I knew a fellow who wanted to get a flintlock and told him I would keep my eyes open. He was trilled to get a like-new gun at a discounted price. Some of the auction websites like AuctionArms, GunsAmerica and GunBroker has T/C percussion and flintlock rifles in "average" condition for $100 more than he paid. I have never had any luck shopping the websites or gun shows. The local gun shops have always be a better bet. All the best...
