I have been painting my house. The ladders are good teachers and my worst enemies. I have acrophobia and after the second step It is hard to ignore the fact that I am off the ground. I strongly believe that fear exists to be conquered and I climb the ladders in spite of my mind telling me to get back on the ground. After all my ladder time it is easier which is good for me. Sometimes I struggle with it more but I can overcome anything. Even when the ladder slips a bit and I want nothing more than to be back safely on the ground. I spent a lot of time talking to that scared little boy in my mind. Telling him that I wouldn't let him get hurt. He is beginning to listen and that's good because I have to go up and touch up the trim along the fascia.
I'm going to install the new porch lights first. I'm pretty worn out.

I've heard that you rarely die unless you bounce... I am not going to try it to find out.
I have to get the big ladder out tomorrow to touch up the gable trim. I'll be fine. My guardian angel can fly.
