Interesting conclusions. i can't find anything that I would argue with but I will keep carrying my 357. We've been together for 40 years and more and I trust it, shoot it well and I can be surprisingly fast with it.
Besides, I've only had my 9mm for a few months and we haven't got the same kind of relationship yet. (I am still stuck on the 9mm comparing well to a 38 special +P)

One does not need a firearm until they need one very badly. In that case, whatever you have and can shoot well is better than nothing. The debates will likely continue regarding what works best. So it depends. All the best...
