I can remember when I was teaching my son to shoot at that age. I tried not to be impatient and always thought he could be doing better. Then he went to Boy Scout camp and came home with trophies for rifle and shotgun. The scout master told me nobody else was even close to shooting as well as he did. Guess my expectations were a bit to high.

I can relate to that Slimjim, I think we Dads are all guilty of that.

my son is leaving for boot camp soon and i know ive been hard on him as well i just hope that our children understand our reasons for being hard on them is because we love them and we want them to succeed in life. seems like too many parents now days dont hold thier kids accountable for doin stupid stuff

Ain't that the truth JC. I call that "hard love"...sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.
