rblain, every Tikka T3 I've seen has them installed on the receiver sitting in the sales rack or original box. Usually, slid up next to each other. Below is a picture of the standard Tikka rings that come with a stainless model. They have a recoil lug that also mates with the top of the receiver. If you didn't get them or the gun shop gives you a Polish salute, I'd call Beretta and inquire.

Also, if the Leupold bases you have include the windage screws on the rear base, I'd return/replace them from the start. They pretty much make it improbably that you can uninstall and reinstall your scope and maintain a zero, and it is not uncommon for them to fail. They did on my .308 and it took me couple of times to the range to figure out why my shots were moving left and right.
