Hey all, new to the forum. My name is Andy Widener. I enjoy hunting with AR-15's using NATO ammo (or .223) Anyone in the Tri-City area out there that know of some good coyote hunting spots. I have hunted the Cherokee National Forest with moderate luck, but am looking for that perfect place. Any help is appreciated.

Did you know that 7.62 by 54R ammo will flip a coyote twice at 100 yards and be a one shot kill? |

I have no doubt you enjoy shooting your AR. On the other hand I'm sure you meant by NATO ammo (full metal jacketed projectiles) that you use them for plinking and punching paper, since it's illegal to use FMJ's in TN for hunting purposes. We don't want anyone to get the wrong idea.
Hunt safe and best of luck with the coyotes
Chet

There are two hunters I know who use AR type rifles , caliber .204 Ruger. One is a yote hunter the other is a prairie dog shooter. I am a bolt action fan but after they have told me how accurate their semi autos are I may have to try one. But old men shouldl not hunt with a ugely gun..
