I need to find a place that has "in-stock" the following Hodgdon powders.
8 lbs Titegroup
8 lbs Hp-38
8 lbs H4895

and 1000 CCI 300 and 500 primers

I am in the Seattle area and all the stores that I have used in the past are...well, past!
I can buy off the net and it might even be preferable.

So help me out here if you can. I have looked at all the standard places that sell but no one has anything in stock.

All of my usual sources have become hit and miss since the election factor. The last powder I bought I got from T&T Reloading and the last primers from Midway USA. Midway has a nice remind me feature for items that are out of stock. When the items you want are in stock they will notify you by email, but in all honesty we are not alone in this quest so many times when I receive the email I'm too late by the time I get to their site.
Good Luck!

BigBlue,
TnT reloading is out of stock on the 4895 and don't even list the HP-38.
On the plus side they do show 8 lb kegs of Titegroup!
When I last looked at Midway they were completely out of primers.
I may just have to keep checking every day until I find the stuff I need.

Paul,
Midway is out of primers almost as soon as they come in. I guess they have quite a list of people getting email reminders when they do come in. I hadn't been able to get primers for almost a year. I had enough for hunting purposes, but didn't have enough to shoot just for the enjoyment of shooting. I even avoided buying a new rifle thinking that I didn't have enough primers to use for load development. One of my recent purchases, a H+R Handi rifle in .500 S+W sits unfired due to the unavailability of cases. Midway shows they should be in this week so I'm hopeful I'll get to shoot it soon.

Fnuser,
I would like to say ship it...
But there is the pesky little federal haz-mat fee and finding someone who will actually deliver the powder - I think FedEx still does but if I buy all the powder and primers at the same place they can all be shipped with one haz-mat fee.

I honestly don't know the legalities of person to person transfer of flammable solids (smokeless powders classification outside the BATF).

I use a little place in Houston called Bailey's House of Guns. It is an old fairly outdated place that a lot of people don't like because they are strict about how they run their range. I shot a rifle for the first time there with my dad over 40 years ago. It is the ONLY people that I allow or trust to work on my guns besides myself, THEY HAVE ALWAYS DONE ME RIGHT! They have always helped me through gun, shooting, and reloading problems. Because of the help I have received from them over the years, I am a very loyal customer. I sometimes may pay slightly extra there, but the trust they have earned, to me is worth every cent.
Anyway, here is the address and phone #.

Bailey's House of Guns Incorporated
(713) 433-2475
3626 Blue Bonnet Dr, Houston, TX 77053

I used the "email me when in stock" feature on every site I could. Sometimes they would sell out in just a couple of hours. It often would take me 3 months to get the powder I needed. I finally decided that I wasn't going to be able to get all of what I needed from one location and just ate multiple haz mat fees. Don't forget to check Midsouthshooterssupply.com.

Primers have been even harder to get. Also, I think you can back order from Cabela's and that will get you a place in-line and they ship when it gets in. I'm just begining to see primers trickle back on the shelves.

Good luck!!

I keep checking the sites daily and figure that I will sooner or later be able to get all that I need.

I'm going to see how well the shelves are stocked at Cabela's this weekend.

I have used Midway, Midsouth, Natchez, Able ammo and others Paul with the same results. Two days ago checked Cabela's they had 308 brass and primers CCI, Winchester, Federal and remington. Local gun shop also just recieved CCI primers but WOW did the price go up, last box I bought was $28.50, this one $35.99

Went to Cabela's this afternoon. The had limited powder and none of the H4895 I was looking for. No large rifle primers but tons of small rifle primers. What really amazed me most was there was hardly any 22LR ammo to choose from. I'll try again in a couple of weeks. Really good to see the small rifle primers. Its been 10 months since the last batch I saw.
