Looking at the pic below...if you were to encounter this critter in the great outdoors, in this stance, what is the first thought that comes to mind?

They have to be the nastiest animal on the face of the earth.
I pulled up to check a duck pond one day and left the dog in the truck, imagine my surprise when I had a view very similar to this one. The caos was compounded when my dog decided she wanted to go out the window to see the nice kitty. my son headed the dog off and I had to give the skunk a
3 1/2 inch enema. No one got sprayed but we could still smell it as we drove home.

Skunk? The nastiest animal on earth? I rank oposum rith up there with skunk...

I'm having a bit of a war with them right now. Sure wish I could use my .22 rifle on them, but they are coming in from my neighbor's direction and I don't think she would appreciate a few perferations in her house. No matter how small...But my daisy BB gun is doing the job. the one last night left limping...

Actually they're a beautiful animal and I've head that if you get them de-scented they make good pets.

As far as being the smelliest animal on earth, they don't compare to the hyeina(probably spelled wrong), the tazmanian devil or the common buzzard. Yuck
