What, gentle forum members, would an appropriate Concealed Carry holster be to accessorize a Roman Toga, or my darling Lederhosen and Aloha shirt emsemble?
Do you think gold pointy-toed slippers would be a bit ostentatious?

What are you trying to hide? 12 ga Double S/S or a FIE .25 Auto? Or are you just trying to hide your obvious gender orientation? Razz Very Happy

I hide three different handguns. A S&W mod 19 Combat Magnum with 2 1/2" barrel carried IWB appendex (1:00) under a fleece lined Levi jacket (winter). A Firestar 9mm X 19 carried IWB at 4:00 under a western shirt unbuttoned and untucked (summer) Gotta watch the wind. And a Kimber UCC II .45 ACP at 3:00 in a OWB Yaqui Slide under a light to heavy jacket or coat (Fall, winter & spring). Will be working on a summer carry for the Kimber. Probably IWB at 4:00. No cheap holsters here either. Kellogg Custom Leather, Kramer Leather and Gould & Goodrich...

I also carry a magazine pouch on the left side about 8:00 and a utility folding knife at 9:00. when carrying the semi-autos. When carrying the revolver (.357 magnum) I carry 12 rounds on a looped belt slide at 8:00 plus the knife.

It's snowing here. Got about an inch down and it's still snowing hard... wtf

Many, many years ago, I carried a Remington Nylon 66 in a pant leg. The reason why, is a longer story. I looked like I was walking with a fused knee.

With just a little ingenuity, you should be able to figure out the toga thing.

Since Sniper posted here he is asking for it.

But I was wondering why worry if its concealed or not? Confused

I always wondered that, if it was a condition of the CCW license or not? Confused

I figured a thick leather gun belt and a holster on the side would work out well especially if you leave your shirt loose or wear a vest or jacket.

Dimitri. Having a CCW permit means you can legally carry a weapon on your person. But it must be hidden. A term used by Qualified persons with CCW permits is: "Concealed is concealed". Another words hidden from public view...The anti-gun panty wetters flow a river when they see a gun in public...OC (Open Carry) is legal here in Missouri and most other states, but is controled by manicipalities or sheriff's interpitation...

Wearing a toga would seem to be a bit extreme, but you can hid a lot of things in one...Including......Wellllll....Never mind.

I like our Minnesota Carry Laws.
It is a Carry Permit, not a Conceal Carry, so we can walk down the street like Clint Eastwood, or Conceal the Pistol.

I carry a Kel-tec PF9, but I have been looking at the Kel-tec .32cal, which is real small, and only costs $249.00 at my local Gun Shop.

I like that method. Cause I got to admit, the old "hiding" a gun on ones person reminds me too much of bad guys in cowboy movies. Confused

If I ever had the legal right to carry I'd be carrying openly.

And in some situations the one with the open carry will be the one illiminated first. I would rather be able to not get involved if doing so would violate the laws. Lots of states do not want you to intervene in a situation where no one is goiing to get hurt. If you are open carrying you pose a threat to the bad guy and will be taken care of first where I will be able to intervene at MY convience...

I guess so Bushy, however I'm of the opinion if you can be in the position to help someone else, that is what you do.

Last I checked the moment a criminal pulls out the gun, whether they use it or not he is showing it as a sign of force that they is willing to escalate the situation to them using the firearm to cause harm to another person. So no I don't think "not getting involved" laws are relevant to any situation if firearms are used.

And before anyone asks the answer is "Yes", I'm the kind of person who goes into the middle of a fight to break it up. Always have been. I can't just stand there, or worse run from the situation when I can stop it. Its just not in my nature. Confused

PS. Only exception is if the 2 fighting parties are both groups of criminals cause if they want to thin out their own numbers its their business.

These days I go CCW like Bushy says, but when I'm in the woods back home in Ely, I always have my pistol in plain sight.
In the woods, the gun is carried for problem bears, and not two legged problems.

Oh...When the mountains I'm armed with my heaviest side arm and it is carried in the open on a belt ringed with shinny cartridges...

In some states you can be fined and have your permit revoked for not properly concealing your gun !!!

In other states your gun must be in plain view while in/on a motor vehicle.

So in other words, Know what your state laws are !!!

There are tactical advantages to concealed carry too. I don't let movies influence my thinking on anything.

As for "proper attire" for concealed carry, it depends on the climate. Cool climates make it easy. I kinda like a hip or thigh length jacket to make sure the gun stays covered if I bend over. A “photographer’s vest” will work too, if it’s long enough. There are a lot of holsters that can work then.

In warm weather I’d lean toward an IWB holster and loose shirt left untucked. I've bought some pants one size largre in the waist than I normally wear to make this easier. I also found some shorts at Bass Pro that have pockets big enough to hold a 1911!
