Winchester Model 1200 shotguns

I am fond of Winchester pump shotguns and wanted a Model 12. Two problems emerged; very few were on the used gun racks in decent condition and the prices gave me chest pains. I saw a Model 1200 Ted Williams (Sears) 20 gauge that was like new for $179 and bought it. Last night, there was a 12 gauge in the same condition for $150 and I grabbed that one. These guns seem to fit me well and the prices were what I could afford. Anyone else like Winchester pumps? Take care...

Joe, I have to agree with you also on the 1200's. I have one in 20 ga. that I got new. It has been a very fine shotgun through the years.-tr

1200s are nice shotguns.
The Gander by me had a Model 12 that had been reblued for around $400.00.

They also had a Model 12 16ga sitting next to it for $200.00.
The Model 12 16ga, is now in Gander's back room on Lay-By with my name printed on the tag. Very Happy

I will refinish the stock with an old fashioned rubbed finish, and maybe have it reblued, but I kind of like the old worn look that the gun has to it already.
