I do! And I make them myself, as well as longbows and self recurves. I just finished an 86# Red Oak longbow, with a linen backing. It shoots like a dream. My next project is a bamboo-backed hickory longbow. I also make atlatls, and 6' darts for them.

That's a matter of opinion. Just like compound bows, scoped rifles, carbon arrows, how many traditional long bow shooters still use cedar shafted arrows? It's what you like and want to use that makes it fun..
