What can I say they mention one thing on the liberal/left wing side I agree with (universal health care).

I believe, universal health care (ie walk into the doctors office or hospital for serious medical reasons/surgery) should be provided by the state, if only to keep the population healthy to keep paying taxes. Guess that makes me alittle liberal.

What puts me in the "L" areas I have always acknowledged.
No Child Left Behind doesn't work and should be scrapped.
I hate to see Seniors go broke paying for meds.
I hate to see kids and families without medical coverage.
Socialized Medicine is NOT the answer. The States can handle it. Minnesota has MinnCare which REALLY helps this type of family.
I am also for Public Education.
If we could have afforded it, we would have put our kids in Catholic Schools, but Vouchers are not the way.

Well No Child Left behind being scrapped is a Right wing thing no? I always figured it was part of the larger "You dont have to do anything but everyone should be fair and get passed" socialist/communist scheme of everyone being "equal" .

Health care paid for by the State or Federal goverment is one of the few things I agree with in the United States, ONLY for legal citizens/aliens who pay taxes and their immediate families (ie kids & stay at home spouse who do not make a income).

As for Catholic schools I went to a few of them, they are the ONLY type of school other then Public schools which are protected and get money from the goverment. Canada was founded as a Catholic country and as such the Catholic system gets to keep going as a Right under the law. I've seriously considered once having kids putting them in Catholic school, and you know I probably will when the time comes.
