Breaking in a new rifle barrel

Handloader hits it right in the 10 ring.

Do what you think is the correct thing on break in, then go shoot.

I have a special way to break in Pistols.
I don't know if it helps or not, but between my ears, it makes a difference.

Like Handloader states, shooting is 90% mental.

I shot ATA Trap for 25yrs. Every shot that I missed, I had made 10,000 times over.
Why did I miss??
I had a mental SNAFU

There are many ways that you will hear to break in a gun.
I sure don't know if any are correct, but I still do my break in's for my own peace of mind at the firing line, or in the woods.

Ahhh, I have a scrub tree rigt at a 100 yds. I kinda lean in under the lower limbs. Ya it was hung upside down. The only difference I can see in our too pics is, I look prettier. ha ha ha

Shilen who arguably also makes a very competitive barrel suggest they only have a break in procedure because their customers wanted one....not because it was required. I have half dozen of their barrels and to be quite honest they don't foul much and clean up in a couple of patches. Incredibly accurate too.
No real downside but i don't do it.
